»Accommodation

In Germany you do not automatically get a room in the student dorm upon being admitted. Students have to take care of accommodation themselves. In a university town it is very hard to get a room in a shared flat or an apartment shortly before the beginning of the semester. This is why we strongly recommend that you look for an apartment/room in due time! Furthermore, we recommend that you look for an apartment in the surrounding towns such as Gerbrunn, Veitshöchheim, Zell, Höchberg, Randersacker etc. Useful links which may help you to find a flat can be found under Studying in Würzburg >Accommodation.

Before the semester starts orientation days are offered, at no charge, by the International Office of the FHWS for all students from foreign countries. You can find more information on the orientation days here.
