Network Building in the Field of International Social Work and Migration

In response to the high and increasingly rising demand for specialized personnel in the work with refugees and migrants the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt implemented the master’s degree programme “International Social Work with Refugees and Migrants” in 2016.

Our goal is to establish an academic network in the field of “Social Work and Migration” in order to connect scholars from universities and scientific institutions as well as practitioners from countries of origin, transit and destination, exchange knowledge and make a contribution to further develop the field of International Social Work in the migration society.

Consortium

We intend to set up a consortium that covers the regions of the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. In accordance with the most frequented migration routes, our envisioned partner institutions are located in countries of origin and transit, countries of first point of entry into the EU and destination countries within the EU.
